Dr. Elizabeth F. Churchill is a leading authority in human computer interaction and social computing, serving as Professor and founding Chair of the HCI Department at MBZUAI in Abu Dhabi. She has held senior research and leadership roles at Google, eBay, Yahoo, PARC, and Fuji Xerox, and holds a PhD in Cognitive Science from the University of Cambridge. With over 50 patents, numerous publications, and co edited books, she is recognised as an ACM Fellow and member of the CHI Academy, earning several lifetime achievement awards in HCI for her contributions to human centered technology.

Her career blends psychology, cognitive science, and artificial intelligence to advance systems that support more intuitive and socially aware digital interactions. Churchill is known for bridging academic research with real world product design, shaping how millions of people engage with technology across devices, platforms, and cultural contexts.
